I got in to grad school!

My first choice, too. In Beantown.

Must now see if combination of loans, indentured servitude, and Mom make it financially viable.

But still. Happy dance! Some committee out there loves me...

And here I went and moved my family over 3000 miles to the West Coast based entirely on your recommendation. I've lived in Boston. It's not that great.

Ok, but the grad school options are. And you'll have the Sox.

Congrats.

No, I'll still have the Mariners. =)

This is all provided funding comes from somewhere...

ignore what torgo has to say about Boston, it IS that great. and i'm so SO psyched that you're going to be out here. congratulations!

Again, this is again all contingent on the generosity of Uncle Sam, El Banco de Mama, and the sole trustee of my shoe shopping account.

oh, finances, shminances...=)
when will you know?

A few weeks. Ish. Must rehearse speech for Mom first.

I agree about the 'finances shminances.' I went to grad school and let my FAFSA do the talking. Granted, I'll be paying it off for the next 15 years, but I have my Master's.

And as for the Mariners, I saw Mariners Shmariners. You could meet your allegiances half-way and root for the Cubs. They have Piniella now, so that's, well, that's Lou.

These have been the rules of baseball for the past 10-15 years:
1. Root for the Mariners.
2. Root for the Red Sox if they are not playing the Mariners.
3. Root for the AL team in the World Series, unless it's the Yankees.

These rules are perhaps illogical (they were devised at ages 15 and 18). But they are non-negotiable.

You have the same baseball rules I do! I almost had to leave early last night when I found out that the gentleman I was watching a movie with was a die-hard Yankees fan. Ew! It's just creepy thinking about it.
