I have six months to learn to converse in Spanish. Or more accurately, to possibly give a short speech and toast in Spanish, and talk to people afterwards.
So I've been listening to ThalĂa. Specifically, her Dance Hits Remixed album. All the dance tunes are awesome, and make the morning bus rides bearable.
But I don't think it's helping me with the grammar!

Learn from my sister: "Necesito sopa por mis pantalones" does not mean "I need soap for my pants." Saying that to a shopkeeper in Costa Rica well earn you some interesting looks.
Can practice this line, though: "Gracias, Senora. La sopa es delicioso." First step: figuring out ser vs. estar!
