"[w]hat was any art but ... a sheath, a mould in which to imprison for a moment the shining, elusive element which is life itself - life hurrying past us and running away, too strong to stop, too sweet to lose." - Willa Cather, Song of the Lark
The "methodology" included gender signifiers like "Can you be you motherly?" (but no "fatherly" question) and then probably assumed everyone who answered yes was female.
But then, the same logic didn't apply to your Lex Luthor result with the question about being bald ...
So Prince Valiant doesn't really have a supervillain cuz he's not really a superhero, he just runs around helping King Arthur. There are dragons, other weird monsters, sorcerers, various ethnic enemies.
Prince Valiant?! That doesn't count. Get some X-Men, Fantastic Four (Not the movie), Spiderman, Batman, Superman, hell, even Captain American or the Green Lantern. The Hulk is awesome.
There's a comic book store in my neighborhood. M-N likes to shop there. They play Mystery Science Theater over the speakers, just the audio, it's strange but funny.
I never had a comic book store where I grew up. But the guys who work at this one are totally like Comic Book guy on the Simpsons
So M-N took the supervillain quiz and she's a Mystique, too. Maybe every woman is. It doesn't seem to be a very scientific quiz. I expect so much more from random websites passed along via blogs.
So I just did a few unscientific test runs... it's the "motherly" question. If you answer 5, it looks like you get Mystique automatically. If you answer 4, depending on what your other answers are, you may or may not get Mystique.
If you answer high on "feminist" or "environmentalist" but low on "motherly" you get Poison Ivy.
i totally was tempted to do some extra research too (but i didn't). i was mid on motherly, mid on environmentalist, and high on feminism. i still got mystique. i propose we write a quiz like "are you a sexist supervillian poll writer?"

Mystique is from the X-Men. She's a villain. She's also a shapeshifter. Rebecca Romijn played her in the movies.
I wouldn't have pegged you as Mystique.
Never seen X-men!

Ooooh, that sounds better! Where is Poison Ivy from?
Not up on my supervillains...
Poison Ivy is from Batman. You wouldn't know if from the movies, b/c she was in one of the wretched ones, played by Uma Thurman.
She's fun in the Batman cartoon series, which my wife loves.
Where's your cultural literacy?! These are mainstream comics.
So the only comic I really read religiously as a kid was Prince Valiant.
Still, I like the sound of this Poison Ivy. I mean, if I were to be a supervillain...
what? never seen x-men? never seen x-men?
who was the supervillian in Prince Valiant?
the only comic i read was archie, and this Christian bear family whose name i now cannot remember.

Okay! I added the X-men series to my Netflix queue!
Not really a "graphic novel" person, though.

You have a little too much free time at the moment, methinks...
Mwahaha....
