A while back, I questioned a possible anachronism in Chicago. Today at the uber-cool National Postal Museum (where I just spent 2 hours), I learned that Lindbergh earned his nickname in the midwest doing mail runs in 1926, and "Lucky Lindy" caught on nationally after 1927. While that doesn't shed any light on the year that Chicago takes place, it gives one more year for the song to be accurate.I love museums.
