"[The Kings' work was] not appreciated even at the highest level of the government ... It was difficult for them personally — with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretapping, other surveillance, and as you know, harassment from the FBI."
"[w]hat was any art but ... a sheath, a mould in which to imprison for a moment the shining, elusive element which is life itself - life hurrying past us and running away, too strong to stop, too sweet to lose." - Willa Cather, Song of the Lark

Yes! Jon Stewart talked about this on the Daily Show tonight. So, so awesome.
Carter was good, but I also liked the Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery, who called out Bush on the WMD lie and ignoring domestic problems.
There's a great reaction by Laura Bush here
One of our trivia questions last night at pub quiz was "How many presidents attended Coretta Scott King's funeral? Bonus point -- how many attended MLK's?" The answers were 4 and 0, respectively.
